Elma Laguna

Dr. Elma LAGUNA, serves on the Board of Trustees for the Demographic Research and Development Foundation, Inc. at the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

She received her doctoral degree from the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences. 

She will come to teach in the Geography Department in May and June 2023.

Kerby Alvarez

Dr. Kerby C. ALVAREZ is an Associate Professor at the Department of History, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, University of the Philippines, Diliman. His research interests include Philippine environmental history, history of natural hazards and disasters in the Philippines, history of science (meteorology and seismology), and local history (history of Malabon).

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) awarded him the Young Historian’s Prize 2015. He did his PhD in History, Art and Archaeology at the University of Namur in 2019 and is returning for a month as part of his research.

Anna Amalia Vibar

Anna A. VIBAR is a PhD student at the Population Institute of the University of the Philippines, Diliman.  She is going to work at the Geography Department of the University of Namur.
